As part of our broader commitment to improve our traceability and understand where our raw materials are coming from, Sportscraft have proudly partnered with Woolmark to trace our Woolmark branded autumn and winter knitwear back to the farm.

Woolmark represents a commitment between woolgrowers, brands and consumers on the authenticity and quality of the fibre that connects us. Woolmark encourages and unites the entire supply chain by collaborating with like-minded brands, championing the wool fibre’s conscious production and guaranteeing wool fibre quality.

The iconic Woolmark logo was first conceived in 1964, and quickly made its mark on the global fashion landscape. The story and purpose behind the mark started before this, however, in the 1930s, when it was crafted to promote the world’s most luxurious fibre to an international audience.

The Woolmark certification allows consumers to identify wool garments and wool care products that are of highest quality. Woolmark promises quality as well as a 100% natural and renewable fibre that offers a natural solution for fashion. Products within the Woolmark can be traced through the supply chain so that we can help build trust through quality assurance.

Sportscraft has a long-standing relationship with Woolmark, and was the first brand to sign on. We have been working with Woolmark on our traceability for a number of years now. We readily shared information about the suppliers that we used for our winter knitwear with Woolmark to help identify the farms that we procured our wool from. We then worked with the Woolmark team to meet with our traders to hone in further on our farmers as part of our commitment to improve our traceability. In turn, Woolmark helped us trace back and identify the farms from which we procured our wool for this winter.
